Dr. Boss worked for 10 years as a nurse or nurse manager at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital and St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB) in 1997. She received her master’s degree as a Clinical Nurse Specialist from UTHealth School of Nursing and was awarded her doctoral degree in 2013 as the Legend Healthcare Scholar in the school’s Accelerated PhD Program, which started in fall 2010.
